Billed as a Personal Luxury Car, Ford had tremendous focus on the success of the Thunderbird in the 1950s. In 1957 Ford revised the Thunderbird, providing what would be the last model year of the car's first-generation. For '57; the front bumper was reshaped, allowing for a larger grill and the rear tailfins and tail lamps were enlarged. On the interior, the instrument panel saw significant updates, with round gauges in the dash designed in a single unit.
This concours rotisserie restoration matching numbers 1957 is a rare E-Code Thunderbird, one of only 1;363 produced during the model year. E-Code optioned Thunderbirds had a 312 cubic inch 270hp V8 with Dual Quad carburetors. This Thunderbird has two Holley carburetors on an aluminum intake with a 9.7:1 compression ratio and 343lbs of torque. No expense was spared in the restoration of this vehicle with attention paid to every detail. From factory hoses in the engine bay to factory-correct exhaust system and fender skirts, no items was overlooked. With only 18;600 believed to be original miles, the car has virtually every option offered in 1957 including 4-way power seat, power windows, power brakes and town and country radio. With the rare soft-top delete, this E-Code has a stunning flame red port-hole top dressed in red vinyl. There is no better example of a 1957 Thunderbird than this restoration.
Unless stated otherwise, vehicle mileage on title is exempt and unknown if original.
