1960 Buick Electra 225 Convertible
Run Day - Friday December 6, 2024
This 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible is an amazing automobile with a fantastic provenance. On April 27th, 1960, this car began its life in Las Vegas, NV. at James Cashman Co. as a special dealership show car. Less than 11 months later, the vehicle was titled to its first-and-only private owner for the next 55 years, a Mr. Thomas Allen McElhiney. Mr. McElhiney kept meticulous records on his beloved Buick which still remain with the vehicle today. In late 2016, this vehicle was procured from the McElhiney estate by the late, great Glen Boyd, and remained in his collection for several years. The documentation by Mr. McElhiney over the years verifies this car as an actual-mile example (which shows 44,205 currently), and the high level of originality inside and out of stand to testify even further to this Electra's authenticity. The vehicle is even still on its original NV title! It is finished in factory-correct Arctic White with a matching white convertible top. It is equipped with its original “Wildcat 445 Nailhead” V8 and Dynaflow column-shift automatic transmission. The interior features factory Red leather with factory-optioned bucket seats and center console, as well as dealer-installed seatbelts. Additional equipment and options include: factory air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power brakes, power driver's seat, Wonderbar radio with power antenna and rear speaker, and more.
