“Uncut And Original”
1937 was a milestone for Ford as the whole lineup was updated with a major change, along with the ever so popular 221 Cubic Inch V8 it introduced an entry-level 136 Cubic Inch. For this the models were broken up in to a sub category of a Model 78 for 85HP cars and a 74 for 60 HP cars. This particular excellent unmolested example is largely original and comes out of very long term ownership. The gentleman that owned and cared for the car for many years has passed away and the current seller is his wife. The car was put away in 2009 properly with fluid flushes etc…That is all noted on a card in the engine bay. We have not taken the liberty of starting it but we did put a new battery in, made sure it turned over which it does and all electrics work as well. We are guessing with some fresh fuel and maybe some plugs it should fire right up. Although the body paint is cracking and checking in some spots, it could be preserved as is because a lot of the paint is still very good. It is free of rust and corrosion with all chrome and brite work in very good condition. It rolls freely and has working brakes. The transmission is not bound up and shifts through the gears. Most of these cars have been cut up for hot rods and is getting harder to find in this original state.
